Sound familiar?

No QC manager on the bid

The contract calls for a quality program, a QC manager and an approved ITP — but the job can't carry a full-time salary, travel and per diem.

The spec nobody fully read

Client specs run 40 pages. NDE extents, hold point notice periods and certification requirements get missed until the client's auditor finds them.

Paper that lags the work

Welder continuity, NDE selection and repair rates live in spreadsheets updated on Fridays — so problems surface at turnover, not when they could be fixed cheaply.

What changes

One accountable QC manager owns the program from the first week, and problems show up while the welder is still on site.

What we run for you

Day one: spec review and setup

We read the client specification and governing codes, set NDE extents, continuity and repair limits, and write your project quality plan.

ITP and hold points

We draft the inspection and test plan, submit it to your client, work their comments and hold points in, and run the hold point register through the job.

Welder, WPS and NDE control

Every weld checked against the welder's qualifications and the WPS. Random NDE selected per line class and welder; progressive examination handled the day a reject comes in.

Team, audits and corrective actions

Inspector certifications tracked, internal and subcontractor audits run, nonconformances driven to root cause and verified closed.

Your client, handled

One point of contact for client QA: submittals, RFIs and comments answered on time, plus a weekly KPI report they can forward upward.

Turnover ready

Records organised as the work happens, so the turnover package is assembled from a complete set — not rebuilt from memory.

How it starts

01

Send the spec and scope

Client spec, line list or iso index, rough weld count and start date. We reply with a fixed monthly proposal within two business days.

02

Two-week setup

Quality plan, ITP draft, welder and WPS registers, NDE rules — submitted to your client for approval.

03

Weekly rhythm

Your field team sends weld and NDE data (Excel, photos of the log, whatever you use now). We keep the program current and report every Friday.

Fixed monthly pricing

Priced by active weld count, so it scales with the job — not with hours.

Up to 500 welds$3,500 / month
501 – 1,500 welds$5,000 / month
Over 1,500 welds$6,500 / month
  • Everything above, every month
  • Weekly KPI report and monthly management review
  • Software included — your project runs in IsoLog QMS
  • Site visits quoted separately

Prefer to run it in-house? IsoLog QMS is the same software, licensed to your team.

Common questions

Is this a replacement for field inspection?
No. Your inspectors and NDE technicians still do the work in the field. We run the program around them — the plan, the paperwork, the tracking and the client interface — so their work is credited and nothing falls through.
Who is doing the work?
IsoLog is run by a working AWS CWI, NACE CIP 2 and API 570 inspector who maps welds on power plant piping. Your project gets one named QC manager, not a ticket queue.
What do we need on our side?
Someone in the field who sends weld and NDE data at least weekly, and access to the client spec and drawings. No software to install — though you'll get read-only reports from IsoLog QMS.
Can you go to site?
Yes, for kickoff meetings, audits or client hold points in Texas and the Gulf Coast. Travel is quoted separately in the proposal.
How long is the commitment?
Month to month after the first two months. Weld counts are reviewed monthly and the tier adjusts if the scope changes.
